Mokare Heritage Trail

A walking trail that can be started from either end, the Mokare Heritage Trail winds along the east side of the Denmark River between the Denmark Traffic Bridge (on South Coast Hwy) and the Denmark Heritate Rail Bridge.

Essentially a river-side walk from Denmark Town south to where the Denmark River empties into the Wilson Inlet.

It's 1.8k or so one-way, so prepare for the length of walk you intend to take. If you want to do a return walk, cross the river at the bridges either end and continue along the river in the direction from which you came.

Wrapping along the banks of the Denmark River, it's easy to imagine you are traveling back in time on this trail.

The paperbarks, and their reflections in the river, emerse you in nature.

A beautiful riverside walk/hike.
